HMO California utilizes the MDR payment system from Ingenix, Inc. The MDR fee schedule utilized were assigned to the 60th percentile within the geographic zip codes of our service areas. The MDR’s fee schedule at 60th percentile is equivalent to 253% of RBRVS for the geographic locations. The MDR fee schedule utilized for Anesthesia services were assigned to the 25th percentile; which is equivalent to 387% of Medicare conversion factor for California. This fee schedule applies to physicians and ancillary providers (i.e. DME, radiologist, laboratory, pathologist, etc.) who provide service(s) to HMO California Commercial members only. It does not apply to facility claims.
