Established in 1983, HMO California provides healthcare programs to individuals and employer groups of all size.   Additionally, HMO California provides services to individuals who are eligible for government sponsored health programs.

These programs include a contract with the federal government for individuals eligible for Parts A and B of Medicare as a Medicare Advantage contractor.   HMO California’s Medicare Advantage program is known as “HMO California”.   Through a contract with the Managed Risk Medical Insurance Board, HMO California provides services to children eligible for the Healthy Families program.   And through various contracts, HMO California provides services for individuals eligible for Medi-Cal in Los Angeles and Orange counties.

HMO California’s health care delivery system is comprised of a network of Contracted Medical Groups, Independent Physician Associates, plan owned and operated multi specialty medical and dental locations, community hospitals and pharmacies throughout Los Angeles, Orange, Riverside, San Bernardino, San Diego, Kern, and Ventura counties.

The HMO California Dental Plan, with more than 1200 dentists, is available in Los Angeles, Orange, Riverside, San Bernardino, San Diego, and Ventura counties.   The plan, available to both individuals and employer groups, offers comprehensive dental coverage with an emphasis on prevention and effective treatment of dental problems.
